As our testimonials testify, Royal Oak Bowls is the ideal place to host your event. be it a corporate function or a family birthday.

We have excellent facilities within easy reach of the city centre with an extensive beverage range, ample parking and flexible catering options. We can cater for a variety of functions ranging from weddings and birthday parties to corporate functions and staff training.

Rooms Available 

1) Main Hall
Excellent facility to host larger events. Seating capacity for 230 guests buffet style, 300 for a cocktail function or 230 conference style. 

2) Sports Lounge
The smaller of the three function rooms. Seating capacity for 70 guests buffet, 80 for a cocktail function or 70 conference style. Clients are welcome to hire both rooms for their event. 

Catering
We offer clients three very flexible options:

  • We strongly recommend clients use our contracted caterers for their event who can cater to your needs and budget. Please contact our Secretary/Manager Sharon Collinson with your catering reguest on 09 636 5449 or manager@royaloakbowls.co.nz
  • Alternatively, clients may bring their own caterers and use the kitchen. We offer a blank canvas kitchen where all equipment needs to be provided by the caterer.
  • Lastly, clients may use the kitchen themselves, again as a blank canvas kitchen where all equipment needs to be provided by them.

Furniture and Equipment

Clients are welcome to use the Club's furniture for their event. All other furniture not offered below will need to be hired in by the client. Currently we offer the following:

  • Modern tables and chairs to seat 60 guests
  • Chairs x180
  • Trestle tables x17
  • Projector and screen
  • Lectern
  • Microphone and speaker system
  • Whiteboard
